Yoku Moku to open flagship in Ion Orchard

Japanese cookie brand Yoku Moku will open a Singapore flagship store in Ion Orchard next month.

In the meantime, the brand has opened two pop-up stores, in Ion Orchard and Takashimaya at Ngee Ann City, running until the end of the month.

Known for its buttery thin sable cookies and signature cigar rolls, Yoku Moku was founded by Noriichi Fujinawa, who was inspired by the small town of Jokkmokk he visited in the north of Sweden. The strong sense of community and hospitality of the indigenous Sami people in the township influenced the confectionery maker into naming his cookies (with a Japanese twist) after their hometown.
