Llaollao vows not to be on ice for long

Frozen-yogurt chain Llaollao, which had to quit all its Singapore outlets last week, plans to reopen in the first quarter of next year.

Founder/CEO Pedro Espinosa says the Spanish chain is already seeking new locations.

“Singapore is a key market for us because of two main reasons: the high acceptance of our product and the incredible amount of messages we received from our customers to maintain our presence in the country.”

The chain’s outlets have been taken over by another European brand.

“The company with which we had been developing our brand in Singapore unilaterally decided to close all the establishments and reopen them under the Yole Frozen Yogurt brand,” says Llaollao. “The closing of the 29 establishments is very disappointing for us after so many years of work, but we face the situation with the peace of mind of having always fulfilled our commitments.”

The company says it will return with new stores soon. Its first outlet in Marina Square in 2013 attracted queues, as did many subsequent outlets.
