RSun Plaza gains second lease of life

RSun Business Group, a subsidiary of real-estate developer Hongyang Group, is to relaunch its integrated mall RSun Plaza in Nanjing.

Set to open on April 28, the complex will now feature two shopping malls and a theme park. With an enhanced customer offering integrating shopping and entertainment, the renovated plaza will feature one centre field, two theme blocks and three experience clusters.

“We are building an integrated and upgraded shopping experience in the hope of making it a go-to place for entertainment for the younger generation in Nanjing,” says Hongyang Group senior VP Sha Yong.

It will be the first time that fashion brands like C&A, H&M and Muji will have branches together in the Jiangbei area of Nanjing. The mall will also feature international designer shops like Hardy Hardy, INXX and Stayreal, as well as Chinese designer brands like Hi Panda and VaaWow. Other stores will include Sephora and fashion brands Charles & Keith, Guess, Mo&Co and Mu.

There will also be a theme park in the mall, Future World, featuring four experiential areas: intelligence, energy, life and adventure. The park will include the tallest Ferris wheel in Nanjing and a 360deg. cinema, a VR experiential centre and a race track.

For the theme park, visitors will be provided ID bracelets equipped with sensors that unlock different experiences in each area in the park. Visitors can also earn shopping points.

As well as Nanjing, RSun Business Group has opened shopping malls in Changzhou and Hefei, and home-furnishing malls in cities in eastern China, including Qingdao and Wuxi.
