Trade fairs bolster Li Ning Company

For the 18th consecutive quarter, China’s Li Ning Company, which makes athletic shoes and sporting goods, has had year-on-year growth in its trade-fair orders, in terms of tag price.

The unaudited data excludes Li Ning Young, and covers franchised distributors.

Orders from the latest trade fair, in March during the fourth quarter, saw double-digit growth.

After one year of trading, the group’s outlets had overall same-store sales growth in the low teens for the final quarter, while its e-commerce business boomed with “high 30s” growth.

At the end of March, Li Ning had 6730 points of sale in China, a decline of 66 since the start of this year (the company took over distributors from a third party on January 1, accounting for 361 stores).
