Tumi pop up offers Scandinavian experience
A Tumi pop up at Pacific Place offers an immersive “Scandinavian Lodge Experience” using technology and AR.
Every part of the lodge, which will be open to the public in Garden Court until September 12, features different interactive and tech-driven experiences for guests to enjoy within a Scandinavian-inspired journey.
These include Hong Kong’s first body-scanning avatar generator that takes visitors on a virtual journey to Tumi’s flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York by helicopter or whisks them away to dance around the landscapes of Scandinavia.
Visitors to the Tumi pop up are invited to redeem a gift redemption card for a Scandinavian-themed luggage sticker set from the Tumi Pacific Place store after the virtual experience.
Other augmented reality activations are accessed by visitors using the Tumi Club app with their device camera at the lodge to discover six AR triggers that unlock exclusive content and the chance to redeem an exclusive gift.
The lodge also features a print house corner, where visitors can personalise their own notebooks to take home with rustic Scandinavian-style stamps. Those who have purchased Tumi luggage can receive complimentary monogramming with a choice of Scandinavia-inspired monogram motifs exclusive to the Lodge and the Pacific Place store.
For a memorable keepsake, guests can register to join an exclusive leather charm workshop to create their own Nordic animal keychain made from genuine leather. For a chance to register for a place at the exclusive workshop on September 8 and 9, visitors will need to spend over HK$5500 (US$700) in a single purchase at the Tumi Pacific Place store and enrol on a first-come-first-served basis.
Customers who spend HK$3800 ($484) or more in one transaction at the Tumi pop up during the promotional period will receive a complimentary travel organiser to carry and protect their documents.
Free coffee is provided at the Tumi Fika Truck in partnership with Plat Du Jour Cafe upon showing a same-day receipt from noon to 5pm. Additionally those who dine at Plat Du Jour can take their receipt to the Tumi store to receive a souvenir while stocks last.
