BreadTalk Group has announced plans to open a Wu Pao Chun bakery in Singapore next year.

The store, opening at Capitol Piazza, will be the first step in a joint venture agreement to operate the Taiwanese brand in the Singapore and Hong Kong territories. BreadTalk is an 80 per cent shareholder in the new business. The two firms have an existing agreement covering several cities in mainland China.

BreadTalk Group chairman George Quek said: “We look forward to leverage our market knowledge of Singapore and Hong Kong to serve our fans in these cities with Wu Pao Chun’s award-winning bread series.”
