Two Asian retailers named in global housewares awards

Two Asian retailers have been named in a global housewares awards sponsored and organised by the Inspired Home Show and the International Housewares Association (IHA).

The winning retailers from Asia are Japanese department store Isetan Shinjuku (pictured above and below) and Central Department Store from Thailand.

According to the award organisers, Isetan has been offering “excellent products and services in a highly designed store environment for high-end customers”.

Meanwhile, Central Department Store (below) has provided “complete, innovative in-store shopping moments through products, services, store designs and lifestyle elements that blend together in harmony with their omni-channel platforms for a seamless shopping experience”.

“Our expert jury thought this was such an exceptional year for entries they recognised six global honorees,” said Derek Miller, president of IHA. “All of our national winners provide great examples of best-in-class housewares merchandising.”

The other four, from outside Asia, were Reina Batata Bazar Boutique from Argentina, Few and Far from Australia, Promenu by Mirs Corporation from Ukraine and Tavola from the UAE.

Two housewares retailers from Asia, which were nominated but unsuccessfully made finalists, were Keye Casa from China (below) and Praxis Home Retail from India, (bottom).
