Revealed: Asia’s most-popular fashion labels for resale

Louis Vuitton, See by Chloe and Off White are the most-popular fashion labels for resale within the Asia-Pacific region according to analysis by preowned-fashion platform Vestiaire Collective.

The three luxury brands achieved sales growth of 38 per cent, 35 per cent and 33 per cent, respectively.

Meanwhile, vintage Prada items recorded a 40-per-cent increase in sales in the region – and sustainable brands appeal to buyers with a 26 per cent quarterly sales growth for Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney. Vestiaire Collective describes “vintage” items as 10 years old or more.

Vestiaire Collective’s report, titled “The Smart Side of Fashion” is based on data from the group’s global community alongside international research in consumer trends.

Meanwhile, high-value investment timepieces such as those from Omega and Rolex saw increased deposits of up to 373 per cent.

The report reflects the rise of consumer concerns about sustainability and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in changing the way consumers think about their wardrobes and the way they consume fashion.
