Don Don Donki opens first Jonetz concept store in Malaysia

Don Don Donki has launched Malaysia’s first Jonetz concept store in Lot 10 at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

Spanning 23,476sqm over three levels, Don Don Donki’s new-format store features a selection of some 5000 Japanese products, including snacks, groceries, cosmetics, beauty products, food, and household goods. Besides its own brand Jonetsu Kakaku, Jonetz Lot 10 also offers Muslim-friendly products.

The Jonetz launch is part of Don Don Donki’s effort to expand its presence in Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Guam.

“Malaysia has a growing retail industry and offers the opportunity to build our brand,” said Satoshi Machida, president of Pan Pacific Retail Management.

“We hope our customers will have a pleasant experience as they shop for their favourite Japanese products which are of high quality, unique and reasonably priced.”

The opening was joined by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.

Following the Jonetz by Don Don Donki store, the brand says it plans to open the country’s second Don Don Donki outlet in Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya.

Pan Pacific International Holdings operates in five international markets, including Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
