German fashion house MCM has unveiled the design of its new Hong Kong store in Causeway Bay.

Located inside the Times Square shopping centre, the new MCM is inspired by the principle of “form follows function”, featuring aesthetic craftsmanship with modernism. The brand said the store design emphasises on functionality and simplicity, “echoing with MCM brand philosophy”.

While walls are hand-finished with rough concrete texture and terrazzo tile, the sleek clear glass is discreetly present along the walls. Touch screens are installed throughout the store, enhancing customers’ interactive experience.

Meanwhile, store furnishings combine silver hairline metal elements with antique grey velvet in shiny surfaces. The store houses a full range of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, and travel products.

“The MCM Times Square store is uniquely created to translate the brand heritage not limited to its collections but transmitting emotional experience from the moment when customers step inside”.

The new design is a stark contrast to the brash polished gold entranceway of its former Hong Kong flagship at Central.
