Disney Japan is set to launch a giant flagship store on Tokyo’s Shinjuku Boulevard next month, its largest store yet in the country.
The new flagship, the latest of the more than 40 stores the business has in Japan, spans three stories of the Tokyo T & T III Building and occupies an approximate 1710sqm. The store design will features high-tech concept, with giant LED store front.
Besides the Japan exclusive offerings, Disney Shinjuky Boulevard will also carry select merchandise from from international Disney Parks, including Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Collection.
“At the new store, we will develop a wide product lineup utilising this scale from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel to meet the needs of each guest,” the company said in a statement.
Disney Shinjuku Boulevard is scheduled to open its doors to the public on December 5. Between then and December 25, the store will only open to people who have made a reservation through Disney’s app.
