FPT Retail logs record growth, eyes US$1.2 billion in sales next year

FPT Retail, the parent of the FPT Shop and Long Chau pharmacy chains, says it aims to increase sales this year by 20 per cent to VND27 trillion (US$1.2 billion) and is targeting pre-tax profit growth of 30 per cent. 

The company reported a 53 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue last year, reaching US$988.8 million with pre-tax profit surging a massive 1849 per cent. Online sales accounted for 28 per cent of the revenue, increasing 21 per cent year on year.

Revenue in the pharmacy business reached $174.8 million, 3.3 times higher than the year before. The chain opened 200 new stores last year, doubling its network to 400. 

Meanwhile, electronics retailer, FPT Shop, saw a 38-per-cent increase in revenue compare to 2020. By the end of last year, the chain had 647 stores across the country with 52 new stores opened during the year.
