Global sportswear label Fila is set to introduce the world’s first Fila-branded hotel in Shanghai under a partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Dubbed ‘Fila House Shanghai’, the project will be developed as part of Anta’s new headquarters in the West Hongqiao Business District.
The eco-friendly headquarters complex spans five independent buildings, housing offices, shops, food and beverage outlets. Slated to open by 2024, Fila House Shanghai is expected to become “a destination for sports retail”.
Fila China is owned and operated by Anta Sports Products Company (Anta), which owns a number of Chinese and international sports brands such as Descente, Kolon, Sprandi, together with sub-brand series, including Anta Kids, Fila Fusion and Fila Athletics.
“Not only will the hotel be a unique expression of Fila’s history, culture, products and fashion trends, we believe that the young-at-heart JdV by Hyatt brand experience will be a fitting reflection of Fila’s spirit of vitality,” said Brian Yiu, CEO of Fila China.
