Deliveroo Singapore has joined hands with social enterprise TreeDots to help its restaurant partners source unwanted produce to save food waste and operating costs amid rising inflation in the country.

“Our partnership with TreeDots will offer them a solution to save on food procurement costs across various quality products so they can continue achieving positive business margins,” said Jason Parke, GM at Deliveroo Singapore.

Founded in 2018 by Tylor Jong, Lau Jia Cai, and Nicholas Lim, TreeDots connects suppliers with businesses by selling excess or imperfect food supply at lower prices without compromising quality in order to tackle food waste. Since its launch, the company has expanded to Malaysia and Indonesia.

Besides saving on food procurement costs on various products, restaurant partners on Deliveroo will receive an exclusive $15 rebate when they sign up for an account with TreeDots and accumulate $150 worth of purchases before October 31.

“Our goal is to save 2 million tonnes of food from being wasted by 2025,” said Jiacai Lau, co-founder at TreeDots.
