South Korean fashion retailer Musinsa has launched a global e-commerce store, aiming to reach fashion lovers outside its home market.
Customers from nine Asian countries, Canada and the US now can buy fashion items from trendy South Korean brands, such as Andersson Bell, ThisIsNeverThat, Mardi Mercredi and Sculptor, and have them delivered to their doorsteps.
The Asian markets are Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The launch came after Musinsa’s four-day fashion festival in Seoul dubbed ‘Next Fashion 2022’ as part of its effort to promote K-fashion labels internationally. The event, attended by several stylists and KOLs from outside the country, featured 60 pop-up stalls, alongside runways and music performances. Musinsa also opened a flagship store in Gangnam under the Musinsa Standard brand.
Founded in 2001, Musinsa has grown into one of South Korea’s largest e-commerce fashion platforms with more than 8000 brands, 20 million members, and a gross merchandise volume of more than US$2 billion. The company recently made the top 20 coolest retailers in Asia.
Marking the online expansion, Musinsa will run a series of giveaways and promotions for its customers until the end of the month.
