Ghost kitchen operator, JustKitchen, has expanded into Thailand in partnership with GrabKitchen.

The cloud kitchen will be located in the bustling Phayathai area of Bangkok and provided by GrabKitchen on a Kitchen-as-a-Service basis. The Thailand launch follows JustKitchen’s partnership with GrabExpress in the Philippines which enables it to access GrabKitchen and GrabFood resources.

“International expansion is critical to our company’s growth plan, but it is also an opportunity to learn from the locals in each new market,” said Jason Chen, co-founder and CEO of JustKitchen. “In Thailand, the food delivery market is mainstream and growing, which is something we plan to study very carefully and hopefully master as well.

“People in Thailand want access to new and exciting foods that are affordable and convenient. We are aiming to provide exactly that to them.”

Once the local operation is set up, JustKitchen will serve its Master Don food brand products, followed by the K.Bao brand shortly after. The company will also bring its Bodyfit brand to the Southeast Asian market as well.

According to JustKitchen, the Southeast Asian on-demand food delivery market is experiencing an annual growth rate of 14 per cent, which implies that the market will eventually reach a total value of US$49.7 billion by 2030.

The chain currently has a presence in Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and India.
