Cathay Pacific Airways has introduced its first retail space at Hong Kong’s Cityplaza shopping mall, bringing the ‘online to offline to online’ shopping experience to its customers and loyalty program members.

Customers visiting the Cathay-branded store can scan QR codes to learn about products, purchase their favourite items and select their preferred delivery option via the airline’s app.

“When we launched our Cathay master brand last year, our vision was to bring together all that we love about travel and lifestyle,” said Paul Smitton, director customer lifestyle at Cathay Pacific.

“Shopping is a core pillar of this concept, and this experiential space gives us a fantastic platform upon which to showcase the very best of the premium travel lifestyle that Cathay represents.”

The Cathay store is home to branded merchandise, including the special-edition co-branded Cathay x Start From Zero upcycled galley container and Christmas-themed products. Customers can also earn miles when they shop in store.

“We are always looking for ways to build more meaningful opportunities to engage with our customers beyond our online platform and to help them elevate their lives, and this fantastically designed retail space will allow us to do both of these things in a new and innovative way,” Smitton said.
