US fast food chain Panda Express has introduced its first drive-thru restaurant in Asia, in the Philippines.

Located on Sumulong Highway, Marikina City, the store also marks Panda Express’ 100th overseas location. The store offers the brand’s bestselling dishes, such as The Original Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp.

The American Chinese cuisine chain entered the Philippines in 2019 under a partnership with Jollibee Foods Group with the first store opened at Megamall. The latest store opening is part of Jollibee’s response to the surging demand for the chain’s dishes in the country.

Local sources said a long queue of cars lined up for the opening as early as 5am.

The brand now has more than 2400 locations around the globe, including in Japan, South Korea, Mexico, UAE and Canada.

Recently, Jollibee Worldwide terminated the master franchise agreement for Dunkin’ Donuts in certain territories in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau after more than seven years.
