Japanese burger chain Shogun Burger has made its international debut after seven years of operations, opening its first store in Vietnam.

The restaurant is located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh District, which is a new home to a large community of Japanese and tourists. Besides introducing its signature burgers to the market, the brand will also offer burger options dedicated to Vietnam, such as using patty that blends Japanese and Vietnamese beef, or the limited Banh Mi Burger.

Since its inception in 2016, the Japanese burger chain has opened 11 stores in its home market, including directly managed stores and franchised stores. The chain is owned by Toyama-based restaurant company Ganesha.

Shogun Burger won the title of the Japanese Burger Champion and secured a spot in the esteemed World Food Champion’s top 10 last year.
