London-based coffee chain EL&N has expanded its presence into Southeast Asia with the first store opened in Malaysia.

EL&N’s new flagship is located on Level 3 of the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping centre. The Instagrammable store features EL&N’s signature pink theme with neon strip lighting and floral decoration. The menu offers health-conscious choices with localised twists.

EL&N was founded in London in 2017 by Alexandra Miller. The cafe chain operates 30 stores in 10 countries and regions, including the US, France, Italy, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai. In April, EL&N was reported to be in talks with retail conglomerate Reliance Brands to open stores in India.

GlobalData estimates the Malaysia foodservice profit sector generated a revenue of MYR80.9 billion ($18.4 billion) last year and is forecasted to record a CAGR of over 6 per cent during 2022-2027.

Earlier this month, Indonesian coffee brand Tanamera Coffee entered Malaysia with a physical outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
