Moroccan coffee chain Bacha Coffee is ramping up its expansion strategy in Asia with more stores set to open in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Following the opening of its largest location in the region – a duplex store at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 that debuted last year – the company is set to build its first Hong Kong store in IFC Mall, with additional expansion into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) planned for early next year.

Bacha Coffee’s operator, V3 Gourmet, aims to open the flagship store by the end of this month to aggressively continue its global expansion plan in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Bacha Coffee, founded in Marrakech in 1910, began an international drive in 2019 by selecting Singapore’s Ion Orchard shopping centre as its first overseas location. The brand now has 10 locations in the country, including at Marina Bay Sands and in the Takashimaya Department Store.

Meanwhile, Bacha Coffee will open its first shop in Malaysia at the Suria KLCC shopping centre. According to local sources, the store was supposed to open last month but was delayed. At 7000sqft, the store will be Bacha Coffee’s largest location outside of Singapore.
