Japanese luxury watch brand Grand Seiko has opened its first Vietnamese salon in conjunction with The Hour Glass Vietnam.

Located inside the Watches of Switzerland store at District 2’s Thiso Mall Sala, the brand offers a range of Grand Seiko’s products including Tentagraph, the first mechanical chronograph watch model.

The store’s design was inspired by Ikebana, a traditional Japanese flower arrangement craft, with the goal of conveying the brand’s core philosophy “The Nature of Time”.

According to local sources, the official opening of Grand Seiko’s first salon symbolises a new milestone in the partnership between Watches of Switzerland APAC and the Japanese brand to strengthen growth in Vietnam – a new and potential market.

Grand Seiko, founded in 1960 in Japan, currently operates in different countries including Australia, the US, Thailand, China and South Korea.

Earlier this year, Grand Seiko opened its first standalone store in Asia Pacific at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, with aims to strengthen its presence in Asia.
