Musinsa will open its flagship store in Daegu, South Korea on September 22, marking the brand’s first physical location outside of Seoul.

The Musinsa Standard Dongseong-ro will be located in Young Square Daegu and will span five storeys, including three above-ground levels and two basement tiers, with a total area of 1765sqm. The brand says this venue is the largest of its offline domains.

The ground level will provide a large assortment of casual and denim clothing for both men and women. The second floor is devoted to leather shoes, as well as a variety of special items for the Dongseong-ro flagship, as well as the sports line – Musinsa Standard Sports. The Slacks Focus Zone on the third level includes a handpicked collection of slacks in a variety of fits and colours.

The Daegu location also boasts 28 fitting rooms, three of which are designated as ‘Live Fitting Rooms’, with monitors that give screen mirroring capabilities and adjustable colour-enhancing lighting, making them ideal for short-form filming.

The company will offer the Pick-up Locker, which strengthens the O2O experience by making online purchases accessible within the offline store.

“Starting with the opening of our flagship store in Dongseong-ro, Daegu, we plan to progressively expand the offline shopping experience of Musinsa Standard beyond Seoul,” said Gunoh Lee, head of Musinsa Standard.

“Moreover, we are excited to announce our plans for offering limited-edition products and a series of engaging events exclusively designed for customers visiting Daegu.”

Musinsa raised US$190 million in a Series C round led by global investment company KKR and joined by Wellington Management in July.
