Fragrance retailer Ex Nihilo is debuting in Hong Kong with its first store in IFC Mall.
The store expresses the “French Touch” with a scenography inspired by an art museum and aspires to be a cultural destination for fragrance enthusiasts. According to the brand, the design pays respect to its roots at 352 street Saint-Honore in Paris, which was designed by French designer Christophe Pillet.

The store incorporates local architectural elements including white marble, wood, and brass, and the brand’s pattern, which tribute to its logo, has been enlarged to make it more contemporary.
The mirror ceiling pays homage to Parisian boutiques and is inspired by the water that surrounds Hong Kong Island, introducing futuristic marine elements.

The Hong Kong flagship also offers a customisation service, which allows customers to personalise the Initiale and Babylone collections, similar other locations in Paris, LA, Dubai, Doha and Riyadh.
Ex Nihilo is a Parisian perfume house founded in 2013 by the creative trio Sylvie Loday, Olivier Royere, and Benoit Verdier. The brand’s Latin term means “new creation with no previously known reference”.
