As part of a major campaign to attract quality tourists and high-net-worth individuals to Thailand, retail developer Siam Piwat is negotiating with 16 leading airline partners to deliver their customers the “ultimate experience”.

Siam Piwat – which owns and operates Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery and is a joint-venture partner in IconSiam, ICS, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok – is working to attract travellers from around the globe by expanding its entire global ecosystem from upstream to downstream, with an emphasis on quality tourists.

The company is seeking strategic partners to deliver “extraordinary experiences” ranging from pre-trip, during-the-trip, to post-trip – all placing emphasis on high-spending travellers to further improve the tourism industry, which is a major contributor to Thailand’s economy, said Mayuree Chaipromprasith, president of corporate affairs and communications at Siam Piwat Co.

“Siam Piwat is Thailand’s No One developer of world-class destinations. Today, we’re joining forces with partners at home and abroad to solidify our top-of-mind position further and put Thailand on the map as the ultimate destination for visitors around the world.”

Partner airlines are offering exclusive privileges for OneSiam loyalty program customers. For example, Air Canada is offering a 5 per cent discount for Thai passengers upon purchasing any type of ticket and a welcome gift for foreign customers. China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Starlux Airlines are offering passengers a welcome gift and a welcome drink upon showing their boarding pass and a Siam Gift Card upon meeting the spending requirement. Qantas is offering OneSiam members who fly with the airline up to 6 per cent discount and an additional 10kg baggage allowance.

Amornrat Kongsawat, Bangkok Airways’ VP of marketing, said the airline prioritises collaboration with a strong partner such as Siam Piwat in order to expand the business and deliver the best of the best to customers.

“Through this partnership, Bangkok Airways passengers will enjoy exclusive privileges at Siam Piwat’s shopping centres.”

Keri Lui, country manager – Thailand and Myanmar at Cathay Pacific, added: “A partnership with Siam Piwat will enable us to elevate and offer a premium experience to our customers. Our exclusive privileges include enabling passengers and members to exchange OneSiam Coins for Asia Miles and vice versa.”

Mohammed Alwahedi, Emirates Airline manager for Thailand said the airline is committed to offering travel convenience and exclusive lifestyle options for customers through collaborations with popular shopping destinations that will build on exceptional travel experience.

Siam Piwat’s key strategies

The No One global destination strategy is part of the OneSiam Experience, which brings together the strengths of the global destinations in the heart of Bangkok: Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, as well as IconSiam, ICS, Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, and OneSiam SuperApp.

Siam Piwat is ready and prepared to drive the economy and tourism industry, establish Thailand as a top must-visit destination, and create unforgettable impressions and memories for Thai people and visitors from around the world. Three key strategies are at the heart of this latest campaign to attract quality tourists

Expanding the reach

Siam Piwat will collaborate with partners catering to free individual travellers, seeking to meet visitors’ travel needs from the start of their journey until they arrive at Thailand and providing greater convenience through partnerships with 16 leading world-class airlines: Air Asia, Air Canada, Air Charter Service (Thailand), Bangkok Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, Eva Air, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Starlux Airlines, Thai Airways, and VietJet Air. Siam Piwat will explore collaborative avenues and expand benefits for the airlines’ passengers and negotiate other benefits for travellers with online travel agents, telecommunications service providers, and TagThai, a tourism service platform that encompasses all travel dimensions.

Collaborations with partners serving high-net-worth individuals will see Siam Piwat offering customers exclusive privileges such as hotels, private jet and helicopter services, the Thailand Privilege Card, and Thailand Long Stay.

Working with Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (Mice) management companies, Siam Piwat is looking to offer exclusive privileges to the growing number of business travellers visiting Thailand.

By collaborating with travel agents, Siam Piwat will partner with operators of major tourist attractions located within its shopping centres. Special services will be offered to tour groups and a wide range of exclusive privileges through the Tourist Card, distributed to more than 100 world-renowned travel agent partners worldwide.

Elevating the experience

In-mall privileges: Customers can avail themselves of exclusive privileges through the Tourist Card, which has more than 500 participating stores as well as promotions for all 365 days of the year. The Tourist Card will also offer privileges for travelling in Bangkok such as shuttle buses from Siam Paragon to Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok and city sightseeing hop-on hop-off buses, providing convenient pick-up and drop-off services to premier tourist attractions.

Out-of-mall privileges: Siam Piwat is joining hands with eight world-class shopping centres in eight countries to offer global privileges to members of its partner malls – namely Times Square in Hong Kong, Ion Orchard in Singapore, Malaysia’s Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Parco in Japan, the Plaza Indonesia, and Taipei 101 in Taiwan – through the OneSiam SuperApp.

Siam Piwat is also partnering with premier hospitals to provide exclusive experiences for international customers. Additionally, it plans to further strengthen the Tourist Card membership, enabling cardholders to enjoy privileges and discounts at partner stores outside its shopping centres, including discounts at Rajdamnern Stadium, and at selected retailers and hotels, and special rates for international shipping.

Siam Piwat has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hyundai Department Store in South Korea to offer exclusive privileges to both OneSiam and Hyundai members, elevating the experience for shoppers from around the world.

In addition, Siam Piwat has developed the Tourist Web app, enabling visitors to easily register for the Tourist Card and allowing them to enjoy the full range of benefits. Frequent visitors can also become OneSiam Members and receive that program’s privileges. Every purchase at participating stores – including every international luxury fashion brand at shopping centres – will earn OneSiam Coins, which can be used towards their next purchase.

Exciting the market

Siam Piwat will partner with various organisations to stage major events such as Chinese New Year festivals, Songkran water festivals, Fashion Weeks, and New Year’s countdowns – all drawing international attention to Bangkok and Thailand. The company is also working with global partners to bring to life exclusive events and activities across its shopping centres, including Pride Month and the Celebration of Love. Privileges that support equality for international tourists attending these events will be offered to participants to create a lasting impression and exceed their expectations. Eco-conscious visitors can also take part in a wide range of workshops and activities at Ecotopia, a green community that prioritises eco-friendly product design, located inside Siam Discovery.
