The Body Shop India plans to expand to 100 more brand touchpoints by next year, despite the parent company’s collapse into administration in the UK.

The expansion intends to focus on the travel retail, beauty specialty, and quick commerce segments.

Currently, the brand has 200 stores in India and serves more than 1500 cities through e-commerce and marketplace partnerships.

“India is one of the top markets for The Body Shop globally. Our consistent growth reflects the popularity of The Body Shop and the immense opportunities we are tapping into in the country,” said The Body Shop VP of retail and operations Vishal Chaturvedi.

“We will continue to scale up and focus on omni-channel expansion while leveraging newer opportunities in high convenience formats to build stronger brand affinity in India.”

Last February, The Body Shop India clarified that its operations will remain unaffected by the global beauty brand’s restructuring of its UK operations.
