Saudi Arabian confectionery company Bateel has partnered with Bluebell Group to launch its brand in Singapore. The new boutique will open in Takashimaya on Orchard Road.

Founded in 1932, Bateel is known for its premium selection of dates, artisanal chocolates, and gift sets. The company has since expanded its offerings to include cafes and restaurants. It operates in 170 locations across 26 countries worldwide.

Nurtac Afridi, CEO of Bateel, said the move is part of the brand’s global strategy to expand into Southeast Asia.

“Health consciousness, quality, and innovation are increasingly valued by Singapore’s discerning consumers, making it the perfect market for Bateel’s offerings,” Afridi said.

The store will feature a luxurious aesthetic with polished marble, wood accents, and bespoke fixtures arranged in a “thoughtfully designed” layout for easy browsing and shopping.

Customers will find a selection of premium organic plain and filled dates, single-origin chocolates, date-based biscuits, nuts, and gourmet products like syrups, bars, and spreads. There will also be curated gift sets available for purchase.

“It’s an exciting time for us to introduce Bateel in Singapore, delivering exceptional gourmet food and beverages to customers who seek quality and appreciate innovation,” added Nelly Ngadiman, MD, Bluebell Group.

Launched in 1954, Bluebell Group is a luxury distributor in Australia and Southeast Asia with more than 20 brands in its portfolio.

Its network includes flagship stores, shop-in-shops, counters, multi-brand concepts, a highly selective wholesale network, and direct e-commerce and marketplaces covering domestic and travel retail.
