Seven trade fairs at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this month are set to draw thousands of global exhibitors and buyers to explore key trends shaping the retail and lifestyle sectors.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fairs span categories such as gifts, fashion, lifestyle, packaging, and licensing, aim to foster cross-industry collaboration and provide a comprehensive sourcing platform.
Sophia Chong, deputy executive director of the HKTDC, said the shows will address emerging trends, including solutions for the rapidly growing silver economy and sustainable innovation.
The silver economy is estimated to be worth US$15 trillion globally by 2030. Home InStyle’s Gerontech Living Pavilion will showcase innovations aimed at improving the quality of life for older adults. These include AI-powered mobile toilets, smart walking sticks, and social robots tailored to elderly needs.
At the same time, the Hong Kong Productivity Council will also present mixed reality games designed to enhance physical and cognitive function alongside an Empathy Exploration Lab developed by the Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre to help businesses better understand the senior demographic.
Meanwhile, the Jiangxi Province Jingdezhen City Pavilion will showcase ceramics that fuse traditional craftsmanship with modern design, including minimalist coffee cups, tea sets, and a ceramic adoption programme that uses the blind box model to support emerging designers and artisans.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary with the theme “Celebrating Decades of Wonder,” the Gifts and Premium Fair will bring together 6000 exhibitors from over 30 countries.
Across the four-day program, seminars and forums will cover market intelligence, smart industry developments, health and wellness, and sustainability.
Speakers include representatives from Lazada, Matrix Promotion, and Coresight Research, who will share insights on e-commerce strategies and brand partnerships.
Chong says the consolidated fair period provides buyers with a diverse one-stop sourcing opportunity while facilitating cross-industry and cross-sector business connections.
