Bluebell Group CEO Ashley Micklewright retires

Bluebell Group CEO officer Ashley Micklewright will step down after three decades with the company, including 15 years as chief.

Philippe Guettat will assume the role of interim CEO next month.

Under Micklewright’s leadership, the group expanded its footprint across Asia and help strengthen its position as a key partner for global brands in the region.

Reflecting on his career, Micklewright said he felt privileged to spend most of his professional life with Bluebell.

“Add to this being exposed to some of the most beautiful brands in the world, and you can imagine the immense pleasure it has been working for Bluebell these past thirty years,” he continued.

“And then my colleagues, too many to mention here, who have been a pleasure to work with, many of whom became friends after leaving Bluebell. I can only hope I will have many more now it is my time to move on. I wish those I leave behind, as well as the group, the very best.”

“With a passion for brand building and extensive experience in consumer goods distribution in Asia and globally, Philippe is ready to guide us into this next stage of our journey,” the company said.

Guettat will work closely with the board of directors and the group’s chairman, Laurent de Rougemont.

Founded in 1954, Bluebell Group is a family-owned distributor of luxury, premium, and lifestyle brands across Japan, South Korea, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, Macau SAR, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Australia.

The company manages more than 150 brands, including Moschino, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Brunello Cucinelli and Venchi.
