South Korean beauty retailer CJ Olive Young has formed a global partnership with LVMH’s Sephora to scale Korean beauty brands internationally, focusing on established retail networks.
The agreement will see Olive Young-curated K-beauty zones across Sephora’s online platforms and selected physical stores, beginning in the second half of this year.
Initial rollouts are planned for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, the US and Canada, with further markets, including the UK, Australia and the Middle East, to follow next year.
“As global interest in K-beauty continues to accelerate, we see this collaboration as a meaningful opportunity to work together in expanding the reach of Korean brands in key international markets,” said Youngah Lee, chief strategy officer at CJ Olive Young.
The collaboration also sits alongside Olive Young’s broader international ambitions. The retailer has also confirmed plans to open its first US standalone store in Los Angeles this year.
