South Korea’s 7-Eleven operator, Korea Seven, has appointed Daeil Kim as its new CEO, aiming to drive growth and business transformation.
Kim took the helm on April 1, bringing 28 years of experience in global business leadership, management consulting, and digital platforms.
“My focus will be on working alongside the talented team at Korea Seven to rebuild and regrow our brand,” he said in a statement.
Kim’s career spans senior roles across fintech, digital services, and marketing technology. Most recently, he served as CEO of Secta9ine, the marketing and technology solutions arm of SPC Group, which operates global brands including Paris Baguette and Baskin-Robbins.
Before that, he was MD and head of international business at Ascend Group, leading the expansion of the ‘TrueMoney’ fintech platform across Southeast Asia, backed by Charoen Pokphand Group and Ant Financial.
His appointment reflects Korea Seven’s commitment to revitalising the brand amid rising competition and shifting consumer expectations in the Korean retail sector.
