Danish lifestyle label Rains has made its Asia flagship debut in Shanghai, marking a significant step in its global retail rollout and a sharpened push into the China market.
Situated at HKRI Taikoo Hui on West Nanjing Road in Jing’an District, the 250sqm store consolidates the brand’s urban outdoor proposition, bringing together outerwear, ready-to-wear, bags, accessories, travel and home categories in a single location – a first for the region.
The store design is anchored by a central fog installation that serves as both a visual centrepiece and a spatial divider, with a muted grey palette and punctuated with yellow accents.
Rains operates as an outerwear-led lifestyle brand, focused on functional, urban design. Its collections centre on a coated waterproof fabric, a modern take on the classic rubber raincoat, and are delivered through unisex, season-spanning ranges.
The brand is expanding its global retail footprint across multiple markets, including South Korea, as it continues to scale internationally.
