Skims will open its first Greater China flagship store in Hong Kong later this year as the shapewear and apparel brand continues its international expansion.
The store is scheduled to open in November at Times Square in Causeway Bay and will operate in partnership with Lane Crawford.
According to local sources, the Hong Kong flagship will feature the brand’s signature neutral-toned interiors and minimalist store design.
Kim Kardashian said Hong Kong is an important market for the company’s global growth strategy, while co-founder and CEO Jens Grede described the city as a key location for the brand’s physical retail expansion.
Founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian, Emma Grede and Jens Grede, Skims began as a direct-to-consumer shapewear brand and has since expanded into underwear, loungewear and apparel.
Skims said it focuses on products designed for a broad range of body types, with an emphasis on technical fabric development and product innovation.
The opening builds on the partnership between Skims and Lane Crawford. In 2024, the two companies introduced the brand to Mainland China through a pop-up activation at Chengdu International Finance Square.
Hong Kong-headquartered Lane Crawford operates four department stores in Hong Kong and two in Mainland China, in addition to its online business. The retailer focuses on fashion, accessories, jewellery, beauty and homewares.
The move comes as international fashion and lifestyle brands continue to seek prime retail locations in Hong Kong’s key shopping districts amid a recovery in tourism and consumer spending.
