Vietnamese coffee chain Cong Ca Phe is set to enter Indonesia, with its first Jakarta store scheduled to open at Gandaria City in coming months. 

The move expands the Hanoi-founded brand’s international footprint as it targets Indonesia’s established and increasingly competitive cafe market.

“Indonesia has also been one of the most requested international markets among Cong Ca Phe’s customers,” Cong Ca Phe told Inside Retail. 

“The brand’s debut reflects its commitment to introducing Cong Ca Phe in a way that remains true to its Vietnamese heritage while creating a meaningful connection with Indonesian consumers through an authentic cafe experience that goes beyond coffee.” 

The Gandaria City store in South Jakarta will serve the brand’s signature Vietnamese Coconut Coffee, along with Vietnamese coffee, non-coffee beverages, and Vietnamese-inspired dishes.

According to the company, coffee beans and key ingredients will be imported from Vietnam. The first store will also provide a test of local demand before any broader rollout. Future expansion in Indonesia will depend on the performance of the Jakarta location. 

Founded in Hanoi in 2007 by performance artist Linh Dung, Cong Ca Phe has built its identity around Vietnamese coffee and a nostalgic, Vietnam-inspired cafe concept. The brand has previously expanded into South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Canada, the Philippines and France.
