Luxury jeweller Cartier has opened its relocated boutique at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, in collaboration with China Duty Free Group.
Located in the domestic departure hall of Terminal 3, the store features an architectural design inspired by Shenzhen’s coastal setting and dynamic urban skyline, bolstering the brand’s footprint in one of China’s key travel hubs.
The exterior facade, styled in Champagne gold, incorporates undulating patterns inspired by the surrounding coastal environment.
Inside, the interior combines gold accents with warm wood finishes, mixing urban motifs with natural elements. A central focus wall made of straw marquetry highlights the Shenzhen city skyline alongside Cartier’s panther motif.
In addition to the main display areas showcasing jewellery, timepieces, leather goods, accessories, and fragrances, the space includes a private salon for personalised client consultations.
This relocation is part of Cartier’s ongoing strategy to enhance its travel retail presence at major international airports.
Eliza Yao, Cartier’s global travel retail director, emphasised that the store concept aims to incorporate local architectural details while remaining true to the brand’s traditional design principles.
“The redesigned airport boutique highlights the strength of collaboration between Cartier and China Duty Free Group, a partnership focused on delivering exceptional client service,” said Michelle Sun, VP at China Duty Free Group.
“With this boutique, we continue to provide a seamless and welcoming shopping experience, ensuring that Cartier’s iconic creations are presented with care and attention that exceeds the expectations of today’s travellers.”
In June, Cartier reopened and expanded its boutique at T Galleria, Shoppes at Four Seasons, Macau.
