US golf lifestyle brand Malbon Golf is expanding its retail presence in China, with locations in Shanghai and Beijing, as part of its broader market expansion strategy.
The Los Angeles-based brand opened its first Mainland China flagship at Shanghai’s Jing’an Kerry Centre earlier this year, followed by a second location in the West Bund. Malbon has also established a presence in Beijing with a store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun.
The company plans to further expand its retail network in China, with Hangzhou and Shenzhen among the markets in its pipeline. The rollout gives Malbon a presence across several major Chinese cities.
Its Shanghai stores combine the brand’s golf and streetwear aesthetic with references to local culture. The West Bund location incorporates vintage Shanghai imagery and elements linked to the city’s music and creative scene, alongside interactive golf features.
The Taikoo Li Sanlitun store takes a similar localised approach, incorporating Beijing-inspired design elements and a city-specific product range. The location offers Malbon’s apparel and accessories, along with elements of its broader lifestyle concept.
China-exclusive products are also part of the company’s local strategy, with city-specific collections developed alongside its existing range of golf apparel and accessories.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2017, Malbon operates at the intersection of golf and lifestyle fashion, with its collections and collaborations spanning apparel, accessories and cultural partnerships.
The brand has partnered with TKG Lifestyle in China and in other markets, including Vietnam and the Philippines.
