German luggage brand Rimowa has opened its first flagship store in Mainland China, located at Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai.
The flagship incorporates local design elements, including a green feature wall inspired by the colours of Cologne’s Hohenzollern Bridge.
The store offers several services: an on-site repair centre, the Re-Crafted program, and Crafted for You.
Housed in a glass-walled workshop, the repair centre can complete more than 85 per cent of repairs, including handle replacements and case reshaping.
Customers can also access Rimowa’s Re-Crafted program, which collects, repairs, and restores pre-owned aluminium luggage for resale.
In addition, the Crafted For You service allows customers to personalise the brand’s signature aluminium luggage by selecting details such as size, colour, and accessories.
The Shanghai flagship also offers two exclusive luggage-tag hot-stamping designs inspired by JAKC and the Jiuqu Bridge in Yuyuan Garden.
