Central Pattana has unveiled a plan for its new US$575 million mall, The Central, in Bangkok. The centre is described as “The Landmark of Northern Bangkok”, welcoming global brands and offering a variety of retail experiences.
Located in Bangkok’s northern CBD and spanning around 7851sqm, the project is located between Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and Phahon Yothin Road, and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of next year.
“With The Central, we are extending that flagship legacy to Bangkok’s northern district, defining the next chapter of urban evolution that blends commerce, creativity, and community into one global experience,” said Chanavat Uahwatanasakul, president of retail and development at Central Pattana.
“The Central will drive the next era of retail and cultural evolution, positioning Bangkok among the world’s most dynamic and liveable global cities.”
The property will connect to the BTS, MRT, and Don Mueang International Airport, poised to offer seamless access and a 2.6 million catchment area.
Central Pattana says the local catchment’s consumers have a purchasing power 2.3 times the city’s average, with retail sales, calculated on gross leasable area, outperforming other city malls by 45 per cent. Visitor frequency is twice the Bangkok average.
In addition, the project is designed under the concept “Flagship‑reimagined destination” that offers an architectural and interior program that exclusively meets global retailers’ demand for launching flagship stores.
“The Central is designed as more than a shopping centre, it’s a curated community for the new generation. Every element blends global design excellence with Thai warmth, creating a destination where multi‑generational living, flagship retail, and sustainable innovation come together to shape the future of Bangkok,” said Juthatham Chirathivat, head of business development.
