Tony Roma’s makes eight in Malaysia

US restaurant chain Tony Roma’s has opened its newest Malaysian location in Johor Bahru.

The 3806 sqft restaurant is located in the city’s CBD near the Causeway to Singapore, which links the city to the suburb of Woodlands in Singapore.

An additional Malaysian restaurant will open in late November in IOI City Mall, a new lifestyle and entertainment complex in Putrajaya.

The restaurant is the American brand’s newest addition in Asia, a market Tony Roma’s has found to be a thriving market for full-service restaurants.

“We are proud to add the new Johor Bahru restaurant to our Malaysian family,” said Ken Myres, president of Romacorp, the parent company of Tony Roma’s.

“With the success of our restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, it was important to expand to new markets in Malaysia, providing fans across the country with all that Tony Roma’s has to offer.”

“Tony Roma’s has successfully operated numerous restaurants in Malaysia’s capital for eight years, so the new opening marks a great achievement for the brand in its quest to bring the craveable Tony Roma’s products to guests throughout Malaysia,” said Adam Mah, Tony Roma’s business unit manager.

Tony Roma’s currently has over 150 restaurants in more than 30 countries around the world.
