Quiznos enters the Philippines

Denver-based quick restaurant service chain Quiznos will make its first foray into the Philippines through a joint venture with ACA Group.

The first outlet will be opened in Manila early this year and another 35 are planned once the first location is trading successfully. Spanning in more than 40 regions worldwide, Quiznos’ partnership with ACA Group is the brand’s latest foreign venture.

“The ACA Group is a phenomenal partner with well-known, established businesses in the Philippines. With food service experience and a strong appreciation for American brands, they have a keen understanding of their customer,” said Lee Vala, international chief development officer for Quiznos.

“We are excited to work with the ACA Group, and know that the strong Quiznos brand and premium recipes will expand their market in the Philippines.”

Quiznos and ACA Group are eyeing hard working middle class consumers with an affinity for American brands and preference for hot, fresh food as its potential customers.

ACA Group is a franchise organisation and business investment network. In 20 years of its operation, it has introduced variety of American brands to Filipinos including American brand Johnny Rockets.

“Quiznos’ unique toasted recipes really appeal to the Filipino palate, and we are confident local consumers will embrace Quiznos as they have embraced other major American brands,” said Amable Aguiluz, ACA Group CEO.

“With the strength of the Quiznos brand, we know Filipino consumers will come out in droves to experience Quiznos’ chef-inspired tastes and world-class service and operations. We are searching for an amazing first location for our banner store in Manila, as we want to create a huge impact with this great American brand.”

Quiznos plans to open 400 more outlets overseas by 2020. The 1981 founded American brand offers chef-inspired recipes for soups, salads and sandwiches.
