Titan Industries’ youth accessories brand Fastrack aims to spread beyond India.
Among the countries it is eyeing are China, Vietnam and Brazil.
Fastrack, a retail chain which spun off as an independent brand of watches, later extended its offerings to other accessories including belts, wallets and bags.
Fastrack, which will soon open its 100th store, will also add helmets to its offer.
“About one million two-wheelers are sold in India every month, and so we saw a good opportunity in a market where there is an acute shortage of good quality helmets and most of the market remains unorganised,” said Ronnie Talati, VP and business head, Fastrack & New Brands, Titan Industries.
Fastrack targets to operate 280 stores next year and 500 stores in two to three years which will meet its aim to reach Rs3000 crore (almost US$700 million) business growth in five years.
