Pinkberry to enter India

Pinkberry, the California-based yogurt chain, will soon join India’s booming cafe sector.

Pinkberry’s move into India underscores the retailer’s commitment to globally expand into markets where yogurt is an integral part of the region’s culture. India joins 17 other countries that have embraced Pinkberry, making it one of the fastest growing, global retail yogurt brands.

Pinkberry has established a partnership with Mumbai-based JSM Corporation, a multi-unit restaurant and casual dining development organisation.

“Critical to opening in India was to find a local partner who shared our values and was singularly focused on exceeding customer expectations day in and day out. We are proud to be working with the JSM Corporation team,” said Ron Graves, CEO of Pinkberry.

The Pinkberry and JSM Corporation partnership is focused on delivering a premium experience, comprised of its frozen yogurt, store environments and service while incorporating regional nuances to best serve its new consumers in India.

Pinkberry has been innovating yogurt experiences since it launched in 2005. Today, with more than 175 stores worldwide, Pinkberry is one of the world’s fastest growing global retail brands and continues to lead the category.

JSM Corporation has a portfolio that includes some of India’s well-known independent restaurants. It is the master franchisee for Hard Rock Cafe, California Pizza Kitchen and Trader Vic’s across India.
