Goyard in Singapore debut

Singapore-based F J Benjamin Holdings will bring French luxury brand Goyard to Singapore next year.

Goyard, which makes bags and luggage, was founded in 1853 in Paris, will open a standalone flagship store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City, in next year’s fourth quarter. The opening comes on the heels of Goyard’s launch in Hong Kong at The Peninsula in February 2011.

F J Benjamin is the exclusive retailer for Goyard in Singapore and Hong Kong. Known for building brands and developing retail and distribution networks for international luxury and lifestyle labels across Asia, the company’s portfolio carries brands like Banana Republic, Celine, Gap, Givenchy, Guess, La Senza, Catherine Dean, Sheridan – and its own Raoul fashion brand.

“Goyard is a special brand and one that evokes the romance of luxury, no ordinary task in today’s saturated luxury marketplace. As the retail environment in Singapore continues to evolve, Goyard will continue to be a leader in the highest tier and bespoke luxury segment,” said Nash Benjamin, CEO of F J Benjamin.

The Goyard Singapore store will stock a full collection of trunks, bags and accessories at the store in Ngee Ann City, including exotic skin bags. Items can be personalised and bespoke trunks designed to personal specification can be placed on special order.
