Miu Miu lands in Beijing

Miu Miu, the fashion brand owned by Prada Group, has opened its first flagship store in Beijing at Sanlitun Village.

The new Beijing store spans 850 sqm over two floors and reflects the brand’s avant-garde spirit.

Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the facade is characterised by a full-length arrangement of mobile curtains in metal screen, embellished by the mat gold metal cladding applied on structural elements.

A revolving entrance door, flanked by two large windows, leads into a sophisticated environment. The interior was designed to provide bright ‘open spaces’, where Miu Miu’s furniture – counters and display cases – alternate with shelving covered in damask.

The staircase in gold-coloured metal and crystal serves as the pivotal core of the whole building, connecting the two sale areas.

Wide salons, furnished with damask-covered armchairs and sofas are arranged on a beige carpet floor.

A broad range of apparel, footwear, bags and accessories are on sale at the flagship.
