Uniqlo to open Hong Kong flagship

Fast Retailing-owned clothing brand Uniqlo is set to open the doors of its newest global flagship store in Hong Kong on April 26.

The new store will span three floors and will boast more than 37,500 sqft of shopping space at the Lee Theatre in Causeway Bay.

Uniqlo first launched in Hong Kong in September 2005 and currently operates 16 stores in the city. The brand enjoys a particular strong presence in the local market thanks to the consumers’ strong enthusiasm for the brand.

The new global flagship will showcase the latest and greatest from the brand’s basic wear culture and the brand hopes spur “a giant leap forward” for the brand in the region.

As a brand, Uniqlo says it is dedicated to designing functional clothing in a wide variety of selections.

In June, Uniqlo will open its first store in Indonesia in Jakarta. Reports say the Jakarta store will be among the brand’s five largest in Asia.
