Desigual expanding in Japan

Spanish fashion brand Desigual is betting on the Japanese market with another store just opened in Osaka.

Desigual’s new store spans 200 sqm and and features a “La vida es chula” concept. It mimics a bohemian bazaar, where vintage furniture, travel souvenirs, Turkish carpets and antique lamps are all installed.

The store offers women’s, men’s and kidswear.

With the new opening, Desigual now has 10 monobrand stores in Japan. It also has eight shops-in-shops in malls and department stores across the country.

The Spanish brand says it plans two open two more stores in Yokohama and Kobe for the remaining year.

Desigual’s products are sold through 330 company-owned stores, 9000 multi-brand stores and 2200 shops-in-shops worldwide.
