Graff adds store in China

China’s luxury slowdown has not deterred British jeweller Graff Diamonds from expanding there.

The UK-based Graff Diamonds has further expanded its Asian portfolio, opening its 11th store in Shenyang, China.

Based on a concept by interior architect Peter Marino, Graff Shenyang at Jolie Department Store is sumptuous and elegant. The exterior boasts a facade comprising an open grille, punctuated by the Graff icon motif, which sits atop a textured bronza backdrop.

The interior incorporates features inspired by Graff stores around the world, including lacquered walnut panes in rich colours, complemented by black and white striped marble floors.

Graff Diamonds entered Asia, when Laurence Graff, the founder, made his first business trip to Asia in 1967, setting up a concession at Robinson’s Department Store in Singapore.

There are currently 36 Graff stores globally. Graff’s expansion will also see it opening its first store in Seoul, South Korea this year.
