Indonesian lifestyle group Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP) is planning a massive domestic expansion this year to boost sales.
The group, which franchises more than 100 international brands, plans to open 350 new stores with a total investment of 900 billion rupiah (US$90.9 million).
MAP currently operates more than 1400 stores in 52 cities. It represents brands including Zara, Topshop, Marks & Spencer, Starbucks, Burger King, French department store Galeries Lafayette and more.
It says it is targeting a sales increase of 25 per cent this year.
It also said it is optimistic about its long-term potential as the country’s middle-income consumer base is expected to double to more than 50 million in 2015.
