Italian luxury house Valentino has opened its second largest store globally in Shanghai.

Located at IAPM Mall in Huai Hai Zhong Rd, the two-storey mega store spanning more than 790 sqm and designed by architect David Chipperfield features “Collection Shanghai 2013”.

The collection, which includes ready-to-wear, couture and accessories, is currently available exclusively at the store and will be available only at international flagship stores beginning April 2014.

“The collection is our vision of the Valentino woman, a multifaceted, elegant and glamorous woman, yet playful at the same time. We were also inspired by the Chinese culture, so we mixed our culture with elements of theirs, for example in the accessories of this offering,” said Valentino’s co-creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.

The interior features marble-line floors, Venetian terrazzo, vertical mosaics of mirrors, grey leather accents and glittering light fixtures.
