Jollibee aims for No 1

Filipino fast food chain operator Jollibee Foods Corporation wants to be Asia’s largest restaurant group.

JFC says it expects systemwide sales growth of 12 per cent this year and that the ongoing expansion of its domestic and international network will drive rising sales growth rates.

JFC plans to open at least 220 new outlets this year in addition to the existing 2040 stores under brands including Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal and Burger King.

It also operates brand including Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, San Pin Wang, Highlands Coffee and Chow Fun overseas.

It expects its China business to pick up this year as it expands its presence there to operate 500 outlets by the end of the year or early 2015.
